Ingredients For low sodium spaghetti sauce

1/2 lblean ground beef or turkey

2 mdred peppers, chopped

2 mdyellow or orange peppers, chopped

1 lgonion, chopped
-
3 clovegarlic, minced
-
1 Tbspolive oil
-
2 cantomato puree...29 oz. each

2 1/2 cwater
-
2bay leaves, dried
-
2 Tbspeach.....oregano and basil
-
1/2 tsprosemary, dried, crushed
-
1/4 tspdried mint
-
1/4 tspcrushed red pepper flakes

3 Tbspsugar
How To Make low sodium spaghetti sauce

1In a large skillet, cook beef or turkey until no longer pink. Drain and set aside. Saute peppers, onions, and garlic in oil until softened.

2In a large pan, combine next 9 ingredients. Add the beef and sauteed vegetables. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 2 to 3 hours.. stirring occasionally. Stir in the sugar and discard the bay leaves.

3Serve over your favorite pasta. This cans and freezes very well.
