working in the hotel-casino industry for over 25 years, i never really had the chance to go in the kitchen to experiment,or recreate my Mom's recipies.This sauce (my hubby calls it gravy)is the result of trying to "outdo" his Mom'sGravy.My hubby says its very close!!

2-8 oz
cans tomato sauce
4 tsp
dried oregano
2 tsp
dried parsley
1 tsp
dried basil
2 tsp
1/2 tsp
cinnamon, ground
1/2 tsp
6 clove
minced garlic
2 Tbsp
olive oil, extra virgin
1/3 c
red wine

How to Make Lilly's Italian Spagetti Sauce


  • 1Combine all ingredients in large pot,cover and cook over medium heat till bubbling.Uncover,reduce heat to low,,and simmer for 1 hour,stirring often.
