Trying to create a good sauce for meat...kept adding to it and it appears I added everything but the kitchen sink.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne
  • 4 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper,fresh ground
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons sweet ⦁ paprika
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder + 1 teaspoon
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 3 teaspoons cayenne
  • 1 tablespoon thyme, dried
  • 4 cups tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1 cup cola (i use royal crown, when i can find it)
  • 1/4 cup steak sauce ( i use a1)
  • 1/4 cup prepared yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke (hickory)

How To Make kitchen sink sauce

  • Step 1
    In a 4 1/2 quart pot or larger, bring all wet sauce ingredients to a boil, uncovered, over medium heat.
  • Step 2
    Reduce heat to low and add sauce dry ingredients. Simmer (a slow bubble) until the sauce thickens a bit, stirring often. This takes about 30 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Use this sauce on your grilled meat about 30 minutes before it comes off the heat (grill or smoker), or, use it on meat at the table.
