I love the taste of Teriyaki Sauce and this recipe is much better than any bottled sauce I have used. I always have some on hand to use on a variety of foods.

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup japanese sweet rice wine
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 4 1/2 teaspoons rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 7 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger. (you may substitute 1 teaspoon ground ginger)
- Dash - red pepper flakes
- - black pepper, to taste
How To Make jan's teriyaki sauce

Step 1Bring sweet rice wine to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 2Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil and sugar. Season with garlic, ginger, pepper flakes and black pepper. Simmer an additional 5 minutes.

Step 3Store in refrigerator in tightly sealed container.
