japanese sweet rice wine
fresh ginger. (you may substitute 1 teaspoon ground ginger)
How to Make Jan's Teriyaki Sauce
1Bring sweet rice wine to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 10 minutes.
2Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil and sugar. Season with garlic, ginger, pepper flakes and black pepper. Simmer an additional 5 minutes.
3Store in refrigerator in tightly sealed container.
