- 1/2 cup water
- 4 cans tomatoes, canned (28 ounces each)
- 8 ounces tomato paste
- cup red wine
- 1 1/2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 1/4 teaspoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons onions, minced
- 4 - garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons oregano
- 2 tablespoons rosemary
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- 2 tablespoons basil
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 2 - bay leaves

Step 1Pierce sausage link with fork.

Step 2Place in baking pan with 1/2 cup water and broil, turning once, until browned.

Step 3Reserve pan drippings.

Step 4Mash or cut tomatoes and add remaining ingredients.

Step 5Mix in sausage links and pan drippings.

Step 6Simmer 4-6 hours or until mixture reaches desired consistency.

Step 7Remove bay leaves before serving.
