The sauce is something I got from my grandma but added to because people wanted her recipe and I didnt want to share the original but it is just as awesome.

  • 1 lb
    hamburger or italian sausage*
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 5 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1/2 bunch
    parsley, italian
  • 3
    bay leaves
  • 2 lrg can(s)
    tomato puree
  • 1/2 c
  • pinch
  • pinch

How to Make Italian Pasta Sauce


  1. In a large pot begin heating olive oil on medium heat.
  2. Add hamburger or sausage and brown.
  3. While the meat is browining chop onion and parsley add to pot.
  4. Add in garlic and other herbs until they are lightly browned.
  5. Stir in tomato puree cover and simmer for at least an hour. But with this sauce the longer the better. Serve with noodles.
  6. *the meat is optional you can leave it out and use this sauce for Chicken parm or a as a dip for breadsticks.
