- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 pounds yellow onions sliced about 1/2 inch thick
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- salt and pepper
How To Make instant pot caramelized onions

Step 1Select saute in Instant pot and add the butter and olive oil. Once the butter has melted add the onions, sugar and season with salt and pepper.

Step 2Cook stirring until the onions start to sizzle. Set pressure to high and lock the lid. Select 4 minutes and cook. once done use quick release to expell pressure.

Step 3Unlock the lid and stir in the balsamic vinegar. Turn saute back and cook until onions are golden brown stirring often, Taste and adjust for salt and pepper
