I always substitute cool whip for whipping real cream, largely because I never knew how to whip real cream. When I found this note in a recipe I decided I wanted to try that calls for real cream, I decided I better keep it, and share with anyone else who has never done it either! LOL

How To Make how to whip cream

Step 1For whipped cream, chill cream, bowl and beaters well. Beat cream with electric mixer at low speed for several seconds. Increase speed to high and beat to the desired consistency. If using sugar and flavorings, add them just before the cream is fully whipped.
