Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 can(s)
    (15 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 8 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 2 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    dried minced onion
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/8 to 1/2 tsp
    ground red pepper

How to Make Hot Dog Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine all ingredients in a heavy bottom saucepan and stir until smooth. Bring to a simmer for at least 30 minutes stirring frequently to keep smooth.
  2. Serve over hot dog on a roll. Add chopped onion and a strip of mustard if desired.
