Ingredients
- 1.5 cups sugar
- 1 cup half and half
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make hot caramel sauce

Step 1In medium saucepan, combine sugar, 1/2 cup of the half and half, corn syrup and butter.

Step 2Bring to a full boil and gradually add remaining half and half--be sure boiling does not stop.

Step 3Cook over medium heat to soft ball stage (230 degrees), stirring occasionally.

Step 4Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and serve warm over ice cream or cake. (2 cups)
