- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 8 ounces pitted dates, chopped
- 1 cup walnut pieces
- 1/2 cup brandy
How To Make hot brandy sauce, mom

Step 1Heat sugar and water over med heat 20 min. Add dates, walnuts and half the brandy. Cool. Refrigerate several days to weeks. Add remaining brandy after rewarming. Serve over vanilla ice cream.
