Ingredients

  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 tablespoons diced onion
  • 2 tablespoons diced green pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1/2 can brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 - bay leaves
  • 2 tablespoons diced celery
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder

How To Make hot barbecue sauce

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Let cook for about 5 minutes. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
