Its tasty and my family loves it. I add extra garlic because we like it garlicy but here is the original recipe as it was given to me.

Ingredients
- 1 pound hamburger or italian sausage
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 6 cloves garlic, chopped
- 48 ounces tomato juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano, dried
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon basil, dried
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme, dried
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 ounces tomato paste
How To Make homemade spaghetti sauce

Step 1Sautee garlic and onion in olive oil in large pot.

Step 2Add meat, brown and then drain.

Step 3Add the tomato juice, tomato paste, oregano, salt, thyme and brown sugar.

Step 4Bring to boil then reduce to a simmer for 2 to 3 hours. Taste, if its too sour add a little more brown sugar.
