I like to make things that are easy on the wallet and delicious on the pallet. This is one of my favorite go to sauces. I hope you all enjoy it.

Ingredients

  • 28 oz
    canned plum tomatoes with basil
  • 6 oz
    tomato paste
  • 14 oz
    water
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder or fresh
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 tsp
    dried basil
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Place tomatoes with juices in a large sauce pan and using your hands or a masher gently crush tomatoes.
  2. Add water tomato paste and seasonings to now crushed tomatoes. Stir and bring to a simmer.
  3. Serve with favorite pasta or use in any dish requiring spaghetti sauce.
  4. For a chunky sauce you can add 16 oz package of sliced mushrooms and 1 lb. of cooked hamburger or Italian sausage.
