Home-made carmel sauce

Valeree Dunbar

A friend of mine makes her own carmel sauce and it is delicious so I thought I'd try this method and it really works. It is so very simple and makes a nice thick carmel sauce for any desert.

1Fill a large Pot with water. Bring to a rolling boil.
2Place 1 un-opened can of sweet and condensed milk into the boiling pot of water.
3Continue boiling for 1 1/2 hours making sure the water level stays above the can. Add more water if needed. Remove the can, open and let stand for 30 minutes or longer.
