home-made carmel sauce
A friend of mine makes her own carmel sauce and it is delicious so I thought I'd try this method and it really works. It is so very simple and makes a nice thick carmel sauce for any desert.

- 1 can sweet and condensed milk
- 1 large pot of water
How To Make home-made carmel sauce

Step 1Fill a large Pot with water. Bring to a rolling boil.

Step 2Place 1 un-opened can of sweet and condensed milk into the boiling pot of water.

Step 3Continue boiling for 1 1/2 hours making sure the water level stays above the can. Add more water if needed. Remove the can, open and let stand for 30 minutes or longer. Carmel sauce will thicken upon standing. Stir occasionally to help it thicken. Poor over ice cream, cake, or any deserts. Refrigerate.
