These smell really good and are pretty simple to make. I like the fact that you can make a batch of them ahead of time and have them ready to use whenever you want to.

Ingredients
- 4 - oranges
- 4 - lemons
- 1/2 cup whole cloves
- 1/2 cup whole allspice
- 10 - cinnamon sticks, broken
- 10 - bay leaves, broken
- 4 8-oz - decorared jelly jars, with bands and lids
How To Make holiday spice potpourri

Step 1Using a vegetable peeler, peel fruit carefully, removing only the peel, not any of the white pith.

Step 2Cut or tear into one inch pieces.

Step 3Spread peel on paper towel lined pan.

Step 4Place in preheated oven to 175.

Step 5Dry in oven for 1 1/2 hours, tossing occasionally.

Step 6Peels should be leathery and/or slightly crunchy.

Step 7Spread peels on dry paper towels and let air dry for 24 hours.

Step 8Combine with remaining ingredients.

Step 9Fill jars with mixture, place lids on and screw bands on tightly. yield: 3 or 4 half pint jars.

Step 10To use: Remove lid and leave band on for decoration to fragrance a room. OR put one Tblsp into a jar and fill jar with boiling water to release fragrance.
