tomato sauce
8.5 oz
pineapple, crushed with juice
1 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 Tbsp
ginger, crystallized and minced
1/4 tsp
onion salt
1/4 tsp
garlic salt
1/8 tsp

How to Make Hawaiian Sauce


  • 1Blend the brown sugar and cornstarch in a 1-quart saucepan.
  • 2Add the remaining ingredients, blend thoroughly; bring to a boil, stirring.
  • 3Lower heat and cover; simmer gently for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 4Use as a basting or serving sauce for chicken, ribs, or meatballs.
  • 5Makes 2 cups.
