- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Step 1Blend the brown sugar and cornstarch in a 1-quart saucepan.

Step 2Add the remaining ingredients, blend thoroughly; bring to a boil, stirring.

Step 3Lower heat and cover; simmer gently for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4Use as a basting or serving sauce for chicken, ribs, or meatballs.
