1Combine 1/4 c water, 1 c brown sugar, 4 1/2 t soy sauce, 4 1/2 t catsup, 1 1/2 t ground mustard, 1 can crushed pineapple. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
Combine 1/2 c water and 2T +1t cornstarch and blend til smooth. Stir into sauce and bring to a boil. Cook and stir 2 minutes, or til thick.
Makes about 3 cups of sauce. Serve over baked ham steaks or with sliced ham
