Ingredients
- 4 egg yolks
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup Grand Marnier or other orange flavored liqueur, divided
- 2 cups whipping cream, whipped
How To Make grand marnier sauce for fruit

Step 1Place egg yolks in the top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook, beating at medium speed, until thick and lemon colored.

Step 2Gradually add the sugar, beating well. Stir in the lemon juice and salt.

Step 3Combine the flour and 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier; stir well until smooth.

Step 4Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, stirring well with a wire whisk.

Step 5Add the remaining 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier; cook over low heat until the mixture is thickened, stirring constantly.

Step 6Remove from the heat, and let cool completely. Gently fold in the whipped cream.

Step 7Cover and chill thoroughly. Serve the sauce over fresh fruit.
