golden pancake syrup
I have been making homemade syrup for eons. I don't buy pancake, waffle syrup at all. My mother has always made her syrup this is my grandmothers recipe. My children never had store bought syrup unless we ate out. As of to this day I make my own syrup.

Ingredients
- 1 pound brown sugar
- 1 cup water, boiling
- 1/2 teaspoon maple extract
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
How To Make golden pancake syrup

Step 1In saucepan, heat brown sugar, butter, water to a boil stirring constantly, bring to full boil on medium heat let boil 5 minutes. Add in Maple extract before serving, serve warm or cold. Great on pancakes and waffles.
