I have made this bbq sauce for years to go on smoked beef brisket. It results in a thinner sauce and is excellent for dipping ribs and/or pouring over beef brisket. It's tangy and spicy all at the same time. Delish.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle chili sauce (heinz brand or other - not asian)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons worchestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • - dash cayenne (or to your liking)
  • 1 1/2 cups water

    Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly
  • Step 2
    Simmer on stovetop for 10 minutes.
