1 lb
loose italian sausage
1 medium
yellow onion-chopped
2 Tbsp
fresh garlic-minced
3 Tbsp
dry italian seasoning
1 Tbsp
kosher salt
2 jar(s)
ragu traditional tomato sauce
1/2 c
red wine (or beef stock if you prefer to leave it out)
2 Tbsp
olive oil, extra virgin
1/2 c

1Heat oil in big skillet. Cook onions & garlic until onions are soft.
2Add beef & sausage, mix well as it browns. Cook till all pink is gone.
3Add Italian seasoning & salt (to taste—depends on the sausage). Blend well.
4Pour 2 jars of sauce over the meat. Use the ½ cup of wine or beef stock to rinse out the sauce jars and pour over meat --- Stir well.
5Turn down heat, cover and let simmer for 20 – 30 minutes. Add parmesan cheese in during the last 5 minutes of cooking, stir well. - Serve over your favorite pasta.
