Cooking the low carb way made me aware of how I could enjoy heavy cream in ways other than desserts. Never be afraid to experiment...this is one of my new ways to make my food not only taste great, but to be the center of attention!

Ingredients

  • 2 - small pads of butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped spring onion
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons dijon style mustard
  • 3 tablespoons chicken broth or dry white wine
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How To Make dijonnaise sauce for vegetables or meats

  • Step 1
    Melt butter over medium in saucepan. Saute' spring onion 1-2 minutes over medium. Stirring until soft.
  • Step 2
    Stir in cream, mustard, broth or wine and cook until slightly thickened ( 1-2 minutes).
  • Step 3
    This can be poured over meat or veggie of your choice. If desired, sprinkle a favorite herb on top of the sauce.
