I discovered the hot sauce at Firehouse Subs. It was an automatic hit. It has good heat to it, but doesn't leave you feeling like you are on fire. it has a sweet aftertaste to it that makes it perfect. absolutely YUM!

tomato sauce
1/4 c
worcestershire sauce
1 c
brewed coffee
1/3 c
sweet onion, 1/2 inch dice
1/4 c
brown sugar
2 Tbsp
roasted garlic, mashed
2 tsp
chili powder
3 tsp
ground black pepper
1/8 c
balsamic vinegar
1/8 c
soy sauce, light
1/2 c
chopped peaches in heavy syrup
2 Tbsp
dark corn syrup
1 1/2 Tbsp
light corn syrup
1 1/2 c
georgia peach and vidalia onion hot sauce
1/4 c
3 Tbsp
canola oil

How to Make Dark Coffee BBQ Sauce


  • 1In a small saucepan, caramelize onions and garlic with canola oil to a golden brown.
  • 2In a medium sauce pot, Combine tomato sauce, coffee, brown sugar, onions,and chili powder in a small saucepan.
  • 3Once heated, add the roasted garlic, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, peaches, both corn syrups, the hot sauce and the honey.
  • 4Bring to a soft boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and reduce mixture until slightly thickened, about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. correct seasoning with kosher salt and ground black pepper.
  • 5Remove from heat. Cool completely before using. Can be refrigerated up to 7 days.
