Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 - diced onions
- 3 - shredded carrots
- 1 - diced green bell pepper
- 2 - garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 8 - tomatoes, seeded and diced
- 6 ounces tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, dark and firmly packed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 2 teaspoons basil
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
How To Make crockpot tomato sauce

Step 1Heat oil in skillet over medium heat.

Step 2Cook onions, carrots, bell pepper and garlic in oil, stirring occasionally, until tender.

Step 3Place vegetable mixture and remaining ingredients in a 5 quart crock pot.

Step 4Cook on high for 8 hours.

Step 5When sauce is done, divide into 2 cup portions and freeze for later use.

Step 6Yields 11 1/2 cups.
