~ comeback sauce ~

Anyone who tries this sauce is sure to come back for more. We love it on just about any meat, particularly ribs and chicken. Delish!!!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup each - chopped green pepper & chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons garlic paste or couple garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon each - chili powder & cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon each - cinnamon, salt and pepper
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon tabasco sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup each - brown sugar and molasses
  • 1 tablespoon horseradish

How To Make ~ comeback sauce ~

  • Step 1
    In a medium saucepan over medium heat, stir in onion, celery, pepper and garlic. Cook until tender, stirring often. Stir in remainder of ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often. This sauce is delicious on just about any meat. I love it on wings too.
  • Step 2
    Store in covered container in refrigerator until ready to use.
