Grandma got this from Mom's kitchen, where she and I baked the cake and frosted it with this frosting. It is a wonderful recipe, and full of wonderful memories.

- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups coconut
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 teaspoons milk
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make coconut cream cheese frosting, mom & grandma w

Step 1melt 2 T butter in skillet, add coconut and stir constantly over low heat until golden brown. Blot on paper towels and let cool. Cream remaining butter and cream cheese, add milk, sugar and vanilla. Stir in 1 3/4 c of the coconut. Spread on cake and sprinkle with remaining coconut.
