Can be used for many different dishes when requiring a cheese sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp
    unsalted (real) butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard (coleman's)
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 3/4 c
    shredded cheese of your choice
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper

How to Make Cheese Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix milk and flour together until well mixed with no lumps. Whilst milk is still cold.
  2. Place in pot and then add all remaining ingredients. Bring on heat and as mixture starts to get hot it will thicken up to a nice consistency. If it gets a bit too thick on you add a bit of milk until you find the right consistency.
