This is the best, quickest and easiest Cheddar cheese sauce ever. I kept wanting a smooth, tasty sauce for broccoli, cauliflower, etc.. This is it! I make up a whole jar of this powder (3 or 6 times the recipe listed here), then mix 1/3 cup powder with 1 cup of milk and voila smooth cheddar sauce to die for. Note: I purchase dehydrated cheese and butter powder over the internet.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup dehydrated cheddar cheese powder
  • 3 tablespoons dehydrated butter powder or flakes
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

How To Make cheddar cheese sauce

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a bowl mixing thoroughly! Store in airtight jar. No need to refrigerate. Use within 6 months.
  • Step 2
    To make the sauce, combine 1 cup milk with 1/3 cup mix in a small sauce pan over medium heat stirring constantly with a whisk. Bring to a full boil. Makes 1 cup of sauce.
