carol's quick alfredo sauce
(1 RATING)
I've just begun selling Tastefully Simple products and wanted to try something with their "Garlic Garlic." I've experimented with alfredo sauce in the past but felt as though it was lacking something. The Garlic Garlic and it's additional seasonings in the jar added just the right touch to this quick and easy recipe. My family, including my loving but critical husband even liked it.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces lite cream cheese
- 4 ounces sour cream, lite
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 ounces chicken broth, low-fat
- 2 teaspoons tastefully simple garlic garlic
- 2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
How To Make carol's quick alfredo sauce
-
Step 1In a medium sauce pan, combine chicken broth, Garlic Garlic and parsley flakes. Add butter and grated cheese, stirring together. When it's steadily simmering, add the cream cheese and stir with a wire whisk until it's melted. Add sour cream and blend together into the mixture.
-
Step 2Let simmer, stirring often with wire whisk for approximately 15 minutes. When mixture is smooth, cover and let stand for about 5 minutes to thicken. Serve over your favorite pasta. I use it over broccoli and chicken with either fettucini or ziti.
