Ingredients
- 3 cups soy sauce
- 3 cups brown sugar
- 1 1/4 cups water divided
- 1 cup shaoxing wine or dry sherry
- 1/2 cup gochujang sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup minced garlic
- 1/4 cup grated ginger
- 4 - green onions minced
- 1 - ripe pear peeled and cored and grated on box grater
- 1 teaspoon korean chili pepper powder or red pepper flakes
- 3 tablespoons clear jel canning starch
How To Make canned korean bbq sauce

Step 1Mix the clear gel with 1/4 cup of water and set aside. In a large stock pot. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes. Add the clear gel while whisking to thicken the BBQ sauce.

Step 2Place in jars and place in a water bath for 15 minutes. Makes about 4 pints
