- 3/4 cup corn syrup
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Step 1In a heavy saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, cream, butter and salt. Bring to a boil and stir constantly until sugar is dissolved.

Step 2Insert a candy thermometer and continue cooking until temperature reaches 238 degrees.
