Ingredients

  • 1 can (28 oz) plum tomatoes
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 14 ounces water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make homemade spagehetti sauce

  • Step 1
    Place tomatoes with juices in a large sauce pan and using your hands or a masher gently crush tomatoes
  • Step 2
    Add water, tomato paste, and seasonings to now crushed tomatoes. Stir and bring to a simmer
  • Step 3
    Serve with favorite pasta or use in any dish requiring spaghetti sauce
  • Step 4
    For a chunky sauce you can add (1) 16 oz package of sliced mushrooms and 1 pound of cooked hamburger or italian sausage
