- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
How To Make bourbon sauce for bread pudding

Step 1Melt butter in a small saucepan over med-low heat. Whisk in flour and cook, whisking constantly for about 5 minutes.

Step 2Stir in cream, sugar and cook, whisking constantly for about 3 minutes or until thickened. Stir in bourbon, vanilla and nutmeg and cook, whisking constantly for about 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

Step 3Serve over bread pudding.
