bourbon peppercorn "mop" sauce

My crew has to have this when grilling steaks!! BTW you can buy the airplane small bottles of "good" bourbon for this!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mild molasses
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black peppercorns
  • 6 tablespoons knob creek bourbon [or other good quality]
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled & cut-up
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons lemon juice

How To Make bourbon peppercorn "mop" sauce

  • Step 1
    In medium saucepan, bring to boil over med-high heat, the molasses & peppercorns. Remove from heat and whisk in bourbon, butter and lemon juice..stir & simmer a few minutes. Keep sauce warm and brush over steaks while grilling!! Refrigerate leftovers for next grilling! I have also used on chicken when grilling out & pork!!
