Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
How To Make blueberry simple syrup

Step 1In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine all the ingredients and bring the mixture to a soft boil, stirring often until the sugar is dissolved.

Step 2Reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer gently for 15 minutes, breaking down the fruit using the tip of a wooden spoon or a potato masher.

Step 3Remove from the heat and let it cool off for 10 minutes.

Step 4Pour the mixture through a fine sieve sitting over a large bowl or measuring cup and press down on the fruits to extract as much liquid as possible; discard the pulp.

Step 5Transfer to a glass jar and let it cool completely before storing it in the fridge. Yields 1 cup.
