This tasty compound butter is great as a topping for steaks, vegetables, in mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, and so on.

Ingredients For blue cheese butter

  • 1/4 c
    unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 c
    blue cheese such as smokehaus blue, crumbled
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    parsley, finely chopped

How To Make blue cheese butter

    In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients. Mix until blended.
  • 2
    Scoop the mixture onto the center of some parchment or wax paper and gather the sides to compact the butter.

    Fold one side over and form a log, curling your fingers under to tighten it up. Roll it up to the other side and twist the ends tight. To prevent it from opening, fold the ends under.

    Chill until it hardens, about 2 hours.
