I searched for years for the perfect pizza sauce and this simple sauce is by far the best so far. I hope you will try it and agree. Disclaimer: I have always used recipes as a guide and use my instincts and experience to alter or omit ingredients as I cook. Therefore, it has always been a challenge when sharing recipes with others. I doubt I make dishes the same way twice. So, I advise you to use my recipes the same way. Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 ounces tomato puree
  • 4 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 small bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons fennel seeds
  • 1/3 cup dry white wine

How To Make best ever pizza sauce~robynne

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet, melt butter with the oil. Add onion and garlic; saute until soft and transparent. Add tomato puree and stir until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and simmer, 30-60 minutes. Remove bay leaves and spread sauce on your prepared pizza dough. Enjoy!
