this is a great sauce to serve with anything it goes well with pastas

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 oz
    olive oil
  • 16 oz
    can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp
    oregano
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    basil, dried
  • ·
    salt and pepper

How to Make Basic Marinara Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. lightly saute garlic in olive oil. remove pan from heat. add crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt and pepper, return to medium heat.
  2. simmer for 30 minutes, adding a little water as needed, so as not to stick.
