  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 c
    sweet pepper, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    dried parsley
  • 3 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c
    dry white wine
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried mint
  • 3 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    liquid smoke flavoring
  • 2 c
    ketchup
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    hot sauce

How to Make Barbecue Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Place all ingredients in a pot that is big enough to hold them.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Cook, covered, on low heat for several hours.
  4. Tip: To give herbs an extra punch, briefly pound them using a mortar and pestle before putting them in the pot.
