These ribs/meatballs/chicken wings are the best of the best. Had this recipe for years and the men love them so much I am always asked to make more than usual, because they are the first thing to go.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 pds - pre-cooked chicken wings, meatballs or boiled pork ribs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons kitchen bouquet
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

How To Make sweet and sour ribs, meatballs or chicken wings

  • Step 1
    Arrange pre-cooked meat in shallow baking pan, set aside.
  • Step 2
    Put water, vinegar, and sugar in heavy saucepan, mix well. Boil for 5 minutes
  • Step 3
    Cornstarch and Kitchen Bouquet in small bowl and make paste. This should be very thick
  • Step 4
    Add paste mixture to boiled mixture and boil 1 minute. (Be very careful as this will burn) stir quickly
  • Step 5
    Add sauce to meatballs or chicken or boiled pork ribs. Cook in 350 degree oven for about 30 45 minutes. Serve with rice. The best sweet and sour you will ever eat.
