SO GOOD! Teriyaki Sauce

I am not sure where I found this recipe, I know that I did not make it up all on my own. It has changed the hearts of Teriyaki haters!

makes about 4 cups


Add to Grocery List

2/3 c
soy sauce
1/4 c
red wine
1/4 c
sugar (i use organic)
1/3 c
2 Tbsp
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp
ground ginger
1 tsp
minced garlic
1 tsp
red chili pepper flakes (optional)
1 c
1 Tbsp
potato or corn starch (for slurry)

How to Make SO GOOD! Teriyaki Sauce


  • 1Place all the ingredients, minus the potato or corn starch, in a sauce pan
  • 2Heat ingredients up over medium-high heat til bubbly
  • 3Mix potato/corn starch to enough water to make a slurry (a slurry is egg white consistency)
  • 4Add slurry to bubbly mixture, heat and stir until the sauce thickens
  • 5Remove from heat and enjoy! Will save in the refrigerator for months if kept sealed
