This family recipe is GREAT to marinate steak, chicken, or vegetables in. Grill to your liking...this is sooo flavorful. Good ol" JACK DANIELS whiskey is a good choice and gives this marinade a sweet, smoky depth. I think you could use any kind of whiskey though !!

1/4 c
soy sauce
1/4 c
dijon mustard
1/4 c
diced green onion
1/4 c
packed brown sugar
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce

How to Make Mississippi River Whiskey Marinade


  • 1Mix all ingredients well.
  • 2Pour over meat, shrimp, or vegetables.
    (I like to put my marinade in a zip top baggie and add my meat, or vegetables) and refrigerate.
  • 3Marinate several hours for shrimp, or 8 hours up to overnight for steak, chicken, or pork.
  • 4Grill and enjoy !!!
