This family recipe is GREAT to marinate steak, chicken, or vegetables in. Grill to your liking...this is sooo flavorful. Good ol" JACK DANIELS whiskey is a good choice and gives this marinade a sweet, smoky depth. I think you could use any kind of whiskey though !!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c
    whiskey
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce
  • 1/4 c
    dijon mustard
  • 1/4 c
    diced green onion
  • 1/4 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce

How to Make Mississippi River Whiskey Marinade

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients well.
  2. Pour over meat, shrimp, or vegetables.
    (I like to put my marinade in a zip top baggie and add my meat, or vegetables) and refrigerate.
  3. Marinate several hours for shrimp, or 8 hours up to overnight for steak, chicken, or pork.
  4. Grill and enjoy !!!
