marinade for chicken or pork

my family loves this simple marinade and requests it often. Mostly we use it on kabobs but I have marinaded chicken pieces(bone it, cut up) in this, then grilled it for a delicious entre'. Served it with a rice dish. Yum!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 4 - bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons oregano, dried
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - salt and pepper
  • 1/2 - thinly sliced onion

How To Make marinade for chicken or pork

  • Step 1
    pour olive oil, white wine and lemon juice into a bowl. Stir in thinly sliced onion. Break the bayleaves into small pieces and add to liquid, along with all remaining ingredients. I put my meat into a zippered bag and pour the marindade over it
  • Step 2
    You should marinade your meat for 12-24 hours for best results.
