I make this recipe whenever we want to roast in the oven or bake a meat loaf or grill outside. It's sweet but tangy. This used to be my secret sauce- but so many people have asked for it that the secret is now out of the bag. So here is the recipe . I hope you like it. It's great basted on corn on the cob, grilled potato slices, steaks, kabobs, chicken, shrimp, fish, meatloaf,roast,ribs,chops, chicken etc.......

Ingredients

  • 1 - envelope lipton onion soup mix,dry
  • 1 cup heinz sweet chili sauce
  • 1 cup whole cranberry sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups orange crush soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground or fresh grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup butter melted

How To Make bbq sauce by pat duran

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan except the 1/4 cup butter and bring to a boil; simmer 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Brush the 1/4 cup butter on the meat or vegetables all sides on the grill. Let crisp a little- now brush the sauce over the food- grill 10 minutes turn meat over and grill and brush on more sauce, until done to your liking... etc...
