This recipe passed the picky eaters test!!! I use it for spaghetti and lasagna. This makes a big recipe so you can use what you like and freeze the rest til you need it again.

28 oz
can stewed tomatoes
28 oz
can crushed tomatoes
1 lb
lean ground beef
sweet onions, chopped
yellow bell peppers, chopped
bay leaves, dried
5 clove
garlic, chopped
2 Tbsp
white sugar
1 Tbsp
basil, dried
1/2 tsp
oregano, dried
1/4 c
parsley, fresh, chopped
salt to taste
pepper to taste

How to Make Home made Spaghetti Sauce


  • 1Blend both cans of tomatoes in blender. In stock pot, brown beef with onions, peppers & garlic. Pour in tomatoes and reduce heat. Add sugar, basil, bay leaves, parsley & oregano. Simmer about 40 minutes.
  • 2Remove bay leaves & season w/ salt & pepper to taste before serving.
