best homemade teriyaki sauce
This, in my opinion, is as good as any Chinese restaurant teriyaki sauce. I serve it with grilled chicken breast, cut into strips, with mixed Chinese vegetables over rice. Yumm!

- 1/4 cup soy sauce (i use reduced sodium)
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 5 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 1/4 cup cold water
How To Make best homemade teriyaki sauce

Step 1In medium saucepan, mix first 6 ingredients. Heat to boiling and reduce heat to medium-low.

Step 2In small bowl, mix corn starch and 1/4 c. cold water. Stir into hot mixture and simmer until thickened.

Step 3Remove from heat and cool slightly. Use as you would any teriyaki sauce.
