Basil Salt

Basil salt enlivens cooked or fresh tomatoes, cold salads, seafood and eggs.

3 oz spice jar


1/2 c
table salt, non-iodized
3/4 c
finely cut fresh basil leaves


1Blend ingredients vigorously with a mortar and pestle or if you don't have a mortar and pestle, use a food processor or blender for 3 minutes to release the herb essence.
2Spread on a small cookie sheet or foil to dry.
