Although this is a chicken baste, the combination of duck and orange is always a winner, too. Pineapple juice can replace the orange juice if desired. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.Source unknown

- - 1 1/2 cups strained orange juice
- - 1/4 cup strained fresh lime juice
- - 1/4 cup butter, melted, 1/2 stick
- - 1/4 cup soy sauce
- - 1/4 cup clover honey
- - 3 tbsp. minced fresh parsley
- - 2 garlic clove, pressed
- - 1 tsp. sea salt
How To Make barbados barbecue chicken baste and sauce

Step 1Mix all ingredients in nonreactive pan and heat over low heat. Stir until all ingredients are blended. Use the baste warm. This baste is at its bests freshly made. Unused portions will keep for up to 1 week in airtight jar in refrigerator.

Step 2Reheat before using. Brush the sauce on poultry before cooking, and use as a baste during cooking.
