my mom made this for us kids and made homemade bread. yum comfort food for the soul.

Ingredients

  • 2and1/2 pound ripe peaches
  • 1 teaspoon ascorbic acid crystal
  • 6 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 package liquid fruit pectin
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice, fresh

How To Make uncooked peach jam

  • Step 1
    clean and wash 7 half pint jars. place bands and lid in hot water
  • Step 2
    peel and chop peaches to equal 3 cups stir in sugar and let stand for 10min. add lemon juice and pectin
  • Step 3
    mix well for 5min. ladlejam in to jars fill 1 in to top wipe rim clean and cover with lid let stand for 24 hr. freeze for 1 year
